35-Year-Old Man Found Dead by Suicide in Burla

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, a 35-year-old man was found hanging at his residence in Sri Ram Vihar of Burla town in Sambalpur district late Friday night. The deceased has been identified as Rahul Sharma, who was living with his wife and young son.

According to reports, Rahul allegedly took his own life by hanging himself with a bedsheet from a ceiling fan. Family members discovered him in the early hours of Saturday and immediately rushed him to the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR). However, doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead.

Preliminary investigation by the police revealed that Rahul had reportedly sent suicide note messages to some of his friends via WhatsApp shortly before taking the extreme step. The content of the messages is currently being examined.

He is survived by his wife and a two-and-a-half-year-old son.

Upon receiving information, police personnel arrived at the scene, seized the body, and sent it for postmortem examination. A case of unnatural death has been registered, and further investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.
