3 Pakistani From Cuttack To Be Deported

Cuttack: In the wake of the terror attack in Pahalgam and the directive to deport Pakistani Nationals from India, it has been identified that there are three Pakistani nationals in Cuttack.
According to reports, they have come to India on various different categories of visas. The Commissionerate Police has started the identification process, they will provide the information to the Home Department also. The police will then act as per further instructions from the Home Department.
Here it is worth mentioning that, a Pakistani woman has been living in Bhubaneswar on a long-term visa since 2008. However, the visa of the Pakistani woman in question expired in 2024. According to reports, the woman had applied to the Commissionerate Police for an exit permit to leave India and go to Pakistan. But her application was rejected.
However after the Pahalgam terror attack when all Pakistanis have been ordered to leave India, the police have also given a notice to the Pakistani woman in question to leave Bhubaneswar.
Similarly, another Hindu woman from Pakistan was found to be living in Odisha on a long-term visa. She has reportedly married a Hindu from Odisha and has also taken Indian citizenship.
It is worth mentioning here that, there are as many as 12 Pakistani nationals in Odisha. They have been served notice to leave India within 48 hours, informed Police DGP YB Khurania. “There are presently 12 Pakistani nationals in different districts of Odisha. They have been served notice to leave India within 48 hours”, said the Police DGP to Kalinga TV.
It is to be noted that earlier today, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued directions to cancel all visas issued to Pakistani citizens. The directions were given to the Chief Ministers of all states at a meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The meeting came days after a terror attack gripped Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 people. Lashkar-e-Taiba’s (LeT) proxy outfit The Resistance Front (TRF) has taken the responsibility for the attack.
