3 Officials in Vigilance Snare in Separate Raids

Bhubaneswar: (Adarsh Rout): In simultaneous raids at different places of the state, the Vigilance sleuths nabbed three officials from different fields for demanding and accepting bribe.

Accoding to vigilance sources, Chandrasekhar Hansda, who was a Nazir of Mahakalpada Tahasil in Kendrapada district has been caught red-handed by the Officers of Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.1000/- from complainant  Sri Dillip Kumar Pattanaik of Halaila area to disburse Rs- 35000/-  sanctioned to the complainant from CM’s relief fund for his treatment. The bribe amount has been recovered at the spot and seized. In this connection Cuttack  Vigilance PS Case No -2 dtd. 23.2.2020 has been registered.

Similarly Santosh Kumar Naik, the Asst.Teacher of Lindra Ashram School who was deputed to the bill section of District Welfare Officer, Jharsuguda has been caught red-handed by the Vigilance sleuths of Sambalpur Division while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.4000/- from complainant Sri Suryanarayan Satpathy, retired Asst. Teacher of Sarandamal village of Jharsuguda district for processing and drawal of salary and unutilized leave arrears.The tainted bribe money has been recovered. His right hand wash and money purse wash gave positive chemical reaction. His house is being searched. He has been arrested. In this connection Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case No -5 dtd. 23.2.2020 has been registered

Lastly, Prasan Kumar Parida, an Amin of planning Section in Sambalpur Municipal Corporation has been caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance Sambalpur Division, while demanding and accepting bribe of RS.15,000/- from complainant Truptimayi Panda of Gopalmal, Sambalpur for submitting verification report and processing of file for approval of building plan. Tainted bribe money of Rs.15,000/- has been recovered and his house is being searched. He has been arrested. In this connection Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case No -6 dtd. 23.2.2020 has been registered.
