3 houses & DA of CDPO Sakuntala Das unearthed in Koraput

Koraput: CDPO Sakuntala Das of Dashmantpur in Koraput district was nabbed by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and taking bribe of Rs 10,000.

Following the detention, Vigilance sleuths raided all her properties and she was found to be possessing assets disproportionate to her sources of income.

The following properties were found belonging to her:

1. One triple storeyed building with total area of 3300 Sqft. at Kaibalya Nagar, Dumduma, Bhubaneswar.
2. One double storeyed building with total area of 2200 Sqft. at Similiguida, Koraput.
3. One under construction building over plinth area over 2000 Sqft. at Bharatipur, Puri.
4. One home stead plot of area Ac. 0.05 dcml located at Similiguida, Koraput.
5. Cash Rs.47,000/- unearthed from rented residential house of Smt. Das at Dashamantpur, Koraput.
6. Fixed deposits in different Banks worth Rs.22.10 lakhs found.
7. Deposits and transactions in 9 number of Bank accounts of Smt. Das and her spouse are under verification.
8. One four wheeler (Mahindra XUV 500).

Both Sakuntala Das and Minati Khosla were apprehended while taking the bribe from a newly appointed Anganwadi Helper in order to open her personal file and release her salary.
