26 Maoists gunned down in Malkangiri

Malkangiri: In a big success, security personnel gunned down more than 26 Maoists during an Exchange of Fire (EoF) in the Abujhamad forest area of Chhattisgarh bordering the Malkangiri district of Odisha on Wednesday.

As per reports, a big time operation by the DRG jawans had been undertaken in the Abujhamada forest in Narayanpur area of Chhattisgarh in Odisha’s Malkangiri border. During this operation security personnel gunned down more than 26 Maoists.

By the time this report was written, the exchange of fire between the ultras and security personnel was undergoing.

Chhattisgarh Deputy CM Vijay Sharma says, “…More than 26 naxalites have been killed by the security forces…One Jawan has been injured but is out of danger. One of our associates lost his life during the operation…”. Further details awaited.
