25 Platoons Deployed for Ram Navami Security in Cuttack

Cuttack: Ahead of the Ram Navami celebrations on Sunday, the Twin City Commissionerate Police has rolled out extensive security measures in Cuttack to ensure peaceful observance of the festival. As part of the arrangements, 25 platoons of police personnel will be deployed across the city.

Cuttack DCP Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo informed that the security setup includes forces mobilized from both within and outside the district. Areas where padayatras (foot processions) and motorcycle rallies are expected will see flag marches this evening to maintain public order.

“In addition to mobile patrolling, static deployments will be made at key locations, especially near temples and religious sites,” the DCP stated.

To streamline the festive proceedings, police have already conducted coordination meetings with various puja committees involved in organizing Ram Navami events. Night patrolling will also be intensified to prevent any untoward incident.

Ram Navami, a significant Hindu festival that marks the birth of Lord Rama, is celebrated on the ninth day (Navami Tithi) of Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra. The occasion witnesses large gatherings, processions, and religious activities across India and around the world.
