22-Year-Old Found Dead in Bhubaneswar, Love Angle Suspected

Bhubaneswar: A 22-year-old youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Baramunda Dalit Sahi area of Bhubaneswar on Monday evening, sparking concerns and prompting a police investigation.

The deceased has been identified as Rahul Gochhayat. While the exact cause of death is yet to be determined, his family members suspect that emotional distress related to a romantic relationship may have played a role.

According to Rahul’s family, he had been suffering from mental turmoil in recent weeks due to issues in his love life. They allege that the girl involved may have contributed to his psychological distress, pushing him towards a state of helplessness.

“My brother was a bright and caring boy. He was in love, but things had turned bitter recently. He became mentally disturbed, and though we tried to support him, we never imagined it would end like this. He even asked me for money to buy food shortly before the incident,” said Rahul’s sister, demanding justice for her brother.

Police have registered a case of unnatural death and initiated a preliminary inquiry. “We are investigating the matter and awaiting the post-mortem report to ascertain the cause of death,” said a local police official.
