20 Lakh to Get Subhadra Yojana Funds in January
Malkangiri: Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, during her visit to Bonda Ghat in Malkangiri district, assured that the remaining beneficiaries of the Subhadra Yojana will receive their funds soon.
Parida informed that out of 12,000 applicants, 9,000 women have already received the first instalment under the scheme. “The remaining 3,000 women will receive the money shortly as the existing issues are being resolved. I have directed the District Collector to address problems related to drinking water, schools, and Internet connectivity in the region,” she stated.
She further added that preparations are underway to distribute the first instalment of the scheme’s fourth phase to over 20 lakh beneficiaries. However, delays in account verification and land disputes have slowed the process.
“If all accounts are verified by December 30, the funds can be distributed by January,” Parida said.
Highlighting the benefits of the ‘double engine government,’ she noted that the state can expect support from the Centre, which has expressed its willingness to assist Odisha.
