2 teachers detained for misbehaving school girl

Raibania: The police have detained a math teacher and a principal on charges of misbehaving with a ninth-grade student in Balasore district of Odisha. The incident took place in Chamar village under Raibania police station limits in the district.

According to reports, a ninth-grade student of PN High School in Chamar village accused Kailash Chandra Bej, a math teacher at the school, of making obscene gestures and misbehaving with her over a period of three months.

When she protested, the teacher allegedly threatened to fail her in the exam. The student reported the matter to the principal, but no action was taken by the school.

Yesterday, the student’s mother filed a complaint at Raibania police station. Based on the complaint, the police have detained both the math teacher and the principal and are conducting further investigation.
