2 Dead, 2 Injured in Konark Crash

Konark: Two men lost their lives and two others sustained injuries when their car plunged into a pond near Junei Square in Konark, Odisha, late last night.
The deceased have been identified as Sanatan Senapati of Dantuni village in Jaleswar, Balasore district, and Sandeep Mohapatra of Guhalapada in Nimapada, Puri district. The injured, Manish Senapati and Papun Parida, both from Balasore, are now stable after receiving treatment.
The accident occurred around 12:50 AM as the car was traveling from Konark to Bhubaneswar. According to reports, Sandeep, who was driving, swerved sharply to avoid a parked vehicle on an under-construction road, causing the car to lose balance and crash into the pond.
Fire Services personnel promptly responded to the incident, rescuing the passengers and rushing them to the Gop Community Health Centre. Doctors declared Sanatan and Sandeep dead on arrival, while the injured were treated and are now out of danger.
Police have seized the vehicle and launched an investigation into the accident.
