19-Foot Python Rescued and Released in Kendrapara

Rajnagar: A massive 19-foot python was rescued from farmland in Rajnagar, located in Kendrapara district, Odisha, leaving locals in shock. The giant reptile was found near Rajendra Narayanpur village, close to Bhitarkanika National Park.

According to reports, the python was carefully rescued from the agricultural land and later transported to Bhitarkanika, where it was placed in an enclosure for treatment due to a minor injury on its head. After receiving the necessary care, the snake was released back into the Bhitarkanika forest once it recovered.

This particular python is noted as the largest one rescued so far, according to forest department records.

In another recent incident on December 3, a 15-foot python was rescued in Angul district. The snake was spotted crossing a village road in Purunagarh Badadanda sahi. While locals initially tried to kill it, Biswaranjan Behera, a member of the Snake Help Line, intervened and successfully rescued the python, preventing a tragic outcome.
