18 Students Fined Rs 54,000 For Ragging Juniors At VIMSAR
Sambalpur: 18 senior students at Veer Surendra Sai Institute Of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla in Sambalpur have been fined in connection with ragging their junior students at the institute.
Accused students have been imposed with a penalty of Rs 54,000 by the anti-ragging committee of the institute.
According to the sources, a few days earlier some second-year students of VIMSAR had leveled the ragging allegations on fourth-year students on March 10 night. After which the matter was taken into consideration by the college authorities.
The principal directed the anti-ragging cell to launch a probe into the allegation.
