13 Years in One Station !

Bhubaneswar: She has been occupying the post for last 13 years. Has she been replaced or appointed again? But why and under whose umbrella is the female coach? Who is that Panda Babu who is being talked about so much now?

On the other hand, there is a shortage of female coaches in the State. Female players are being deprived of training. Why is the female coach who came on deputation not appointed ? There are only 2 female coaches in Odisha. How will sportspersons get better training ?

Sports are being given a lot of importance in the State. The government is also giving a lot of importance to women players. But for some officials of the sports department, today the sports system is on the verge of collapse. On one hand, there is a shortage of female coaches in the state and on the other hand, a female coach is unmoved from Bhubaneswar hostel for years. The rule is that coaches should be transferred once in three years. But the madam has been here for last 12 to 13 years. But how is this possible ?

On whose recommendation or under whose pressure she has been here for so long ? It is said that some Panda Babu is protecting her for which she works here without tension. Meanwhile, there is no female coach in the Women’s Sports Hostel in Sundargarh.

A male coach has been appointed there as a result dissatisfaction has also been expressed because female players often face various physical problems during practice, which only a female coach understands. But even though this female coach has been in Bhubaneswar for a long time. Intellectuals have questioned why she was not sent to Sundargarh and kept here. Sportsmen have also strongly condemned such arbitrary actions in the sports sector.

The reason we are emphasizing is the unseen pressure in the sports sector. Everyone wants to live and work in a city like Bhubaneswar, but that does not mean that one person will be kept in the same position for years and players of other districts will be deprived of proper training. The Sports Department and the government should now pay attention to this and immediately solve this problem by transferring the female coach who has been sitting in Bhubaneswar for a long time to Sundargarh. It remains to be seen when the department will take appropriate action in this direction ?
