11 Baby Parrots Rescued in Baripada

Baripada: The Forest Department has successfully rescued 11 baby parrots that were being illegally smuggled in the Kathapal area on the outskirts of Baripada, Mayurbhanj district, Odisha. The rescue operation was carried out after the department received credible information from a reliable source about the smuggling activity.

According to reports, the tip-off indicated that the 11 baby parrots were being transported on a bike in the evening at Kathapal. Acting swiftly on the information, Forest Department officials intercepted the vehicle and rescued the birds. One individual has been detained in connection with the smuggling, and investigations are ongoing.

The rescued parrots are now being cared for at the Pintabata Range Office. Once they are healthy and ready to return to the wild, they will be released into their natural habitat under the orders of the Magistrate.
