10-Foot Python Rescued From Forest
Tangi: A 10-foot long python has been rescued from an abandoned well inside the forest in Khordha district of Odisha on Tuesday. Attempt had been made to rescue the huge reptile yesterday, but today only it could be rescued. The python was rescued from an abandoned well in the cashew forest at Girinda under the Tangi Forest Range.
As per reports, the 10-foot long python had fallen into an abandoned well in the cashew forest at Girinda under the Tangi Forest range. The python had been lying in the well for three to four days. The snake was struggling to get out of the well.
The forest department reached the spot after the cashew garden guard saw the snake and informed the forest department officer.
A rescue operation was started yesterday jointly by the forest officials and a few snake helpline members. However, after evening it was not possible to rescue the snake.
Today morning again the Forest officials, fire services officers and snake helpline members started the operation and rescued the snake from the well.
The snake has been rescued and handed over to the forest department. It is learnt that the snake will be released into the forest after receiving primary treatment.
