NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) text books will be now available online through which the students can get direct access. In this regard an online portal has been developed by the organization which will be launched this month.
It will help the schools and individuals to get the books online and it will be delivered at the door step. While 42.5 million NCERT books are used by schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) the books are available only at the authorized vendors across the country.
The portal will help parents who were bound to buy the expensive books from private a publisher which is four to five times higher than the NCERT text books.
Notably, NCERT publishes 364 textbook titles in Hindi, English and Urdu annually and it also going to carry lessons in Goods and Services Tax (GST) from the next year 2018-19. Textbooks of economics, business studies, accountancy and political science will carry contents relating to it.
